TRINNODD stands for TRansfer of INNOvation on Dual Diagnosis.
TRINNODD is a two year project (2008-2010) subsidised by the Leonardo da Vinci Programme of the European Commission.
TRINNODD is a "Transfer of Innovation" project, which means that it aims to transfer the innovative results of a previous project, the TRIADD project (training modules on the theme of Dual Diagnosis) www.triadd.lu to new countries and contexts (Italy, Spain, Portugal and Romania).
Dual Diagnosis is a term used to describe a range of issues relating to people with an intellectual disability and mental health problems. These issues represent a real challenge for staff who clearly express the lack of training in the field. The TRINNODD project intends to train selected professionals in the above-mentioned countries to issues related to Dual Diagnosis. The training modules developed in each of those 4 countries will enable professionals to bring a concrete and efficient response to users and their families.
The TRINNODD partnership is made up of 4 service providers, 2 scientific associations and one European NGO, from six countries: Luxembourg, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Romania.
